| I am in the library... And some creepy kid was just staring at me.
It's really, really weird.
He's doing it again.
I don't have much to write about. Surprised? YOU SHOULDN'T BE.
The semester's winding down. I have one week of classes left, then finals. Then I'll be gone from VU forever. I am ecstatic, to say the least. This place is okay, but Ball State will be much better. Rooming with Isaac should be fun...
Or dangerous.
I found out I won a scholarship. It pays half of--
HE'S STARING AGAIN.
--my tuition for four semesters all Ball State. I'm pretty happy. With both Isaac and me both being in college next year, things are going to be a bit tight for my parents, especially with Dad's strike coming up.
You know what has just really hit me? I don't like working with most of my coworkers at the Custard. Most of them are nice people, don't get me wrong, but they're just terrible to work with, and that's because most lean one way or the other:
1.) They hate their job/life and complain about it all the time, ignoring the fact that they're working at the OFC because they choose to, and they lack the courage to rise and do something with their life.
Or, and worse...
2.) They like their job way too much. I'm satisfied with my job, and I'm gracious I've been allowed to work there, but some people just act like the OFC is a utopia, and it's pretty annoying. The Custard's nice, but life has much better things to offer.
I am excited to be returning, though. It'll be nice to bring in money again.
I've realized that God hates me. I woke up on--
HE JUST GLIMPSED AT ME.
--Christmas morning vomitting like no end, and this past weekend, on Easter, I ended up sick. I had a crazy fever, cough, headache, and other bad stuff. The cough's still around, and I'm a bit congested, but I'll be okay. What's not okay, though, is that I can't sing along in my car.
Two of my poems were published in the school literary journal, The Tecumseh Review. I'm happy about that.
Well, I think that's it for now. I'll be heading out, because I have class in fifteen minutes.

| New entry, faithful readers.
I thought that some of you may be interested in what I was doing about this time last week, which was rocking my heart out to Queen + Paul Rodgers.
Well, I was off to a bad start when Isaac and I arrived about thirty minutes late. Our grandmother told us she had some great way to get to Chicago that avoided the interstate and took three hours, so we tried it, and it took about five hours. We didn't miss anything too big except for 'Tie Your Mother Down' and 'Fat Bottomed Girls'. So, I wasn't too upset. It would have been nice to see those songs, though. And the opening. I was too caught up in the amazement of the show when we entered. We came right in time for the intro to 'Love of My Life', which was sung by Brian May, who did an awesome job. This was followed by a slowed down acoustic version of 'Hammer to Fall', which I didn't really like to much. It's been growing on me, though. Anyway, since the song wasn't too good, Isaac and I decided to go out and give an arm and a leg for tour shirts, because this show was too awesome to forget. We missed 'Feel Like Makin' Love' (A Paul Rodgers song), but we still heard it, which was okay. We came back in just in time for 'I'm In Love With My Car', which was pretty awesome. It was weird to see Roger Taylor singing while playing the drums, though. It created a lack of movement on the stage. I don't remember exactly where this fell in, but the center of the stage opened up to Paul Rodgers and his piano playing 'Bad Company', which is an awesome song, even though it's not Queen's. I think it was one of the best of the show. Anyway, there was 'Radio Ga Ga' was soon after, which was really good. Roger did the vocals, and he did a good job of it. 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' was really good, too, with Brian and Roger doing a duet with images of that band's early days being projected on the screen behind them. It was pretty heartfelt. Anyway, Brian's solo was pretty awesome as well. His guitar work is amazing. The next big one I can think of is... 'Under Pressure', which is one of my favorite Queen songs. The vocals were pretty awesome, with Brian taking most of the high notes. I didn't think he could do it at first, but it was impeccable. Of course, the next big song would be none other than Queen's hallmark, 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. It was different, but amazing. They took a video of Freddie performing it at Wembley in '86 (his last show) and played along with it. The operetic part was all from the music video, and then for the last third of the song Brian and Roger came back playing with Paul singing along with the recording of Freddie. It doesn't sound like it would be that good, but I enjoyed it. 'The Show Must Go On' was a really strong piece, and I totally enjoyed it. They closed with, of course, 'We Will Rock You' followed by 'We Are The Champions'. The two were different than I expected, and Paul Rodgers had a thing for humming a lot, but overall, they were really good. The concert was the best I've been too.
I think what made it so good is that Paul didn't try to replicate Freddie's singing at all; he took classic Queen hits and added his own edge to them, which created a pretty nice new edge on the music. He's also an awesome front man. He's really energetic, swinging the mic' stand around, and even spinning it like a bo staff. It was pretty awesome. At the end of one number, I think 'We Will Rock You', he threw it up a good ten feet in the air and caught it. It was pretty cool.
And, of course, Brian and Roger were amazing, as I expected.
What was weird, however, was the bassist. They're using the bassist from Blue Oyster Cult, who was completely out of place. He's a really fat guy who wears dark glasses and a bandana, which is nothing like John Deacon. I mean, his playing was really good, but he just seemed completely out of place. That, and he tried to replicate John Deacon's little catchy sway back and forth, but he was just a fat guy bobbling around. It was pretty dumb. It would have been awesome had John come out of retirement for the show.
Anyway, that's how the show went. Isaac and I walked over to Steak 'N Shake afterward, ate, and then I drove the trip back to Lafayette. We got back around 3 AM.
So, I spent $75 on the ticket, $30 on gas, $35 on the shirt, and $10 on dinner. So, that's like $150 all together? Well, it was totally worth it. Or, as corny Mastercard commercials would state all of that, it was priceless.
Best of all? It was on my birthday.
So, I'm pretty sure I reached the pinnacle of my concert-going experience.
Anyway, I celebrated my birthday the next day and had a few friends over. It was a small social gathering, but I'm not one for big, extravagant parties *cough*Isaac*cough*. I got some pretty cool stuff. Naked Empire, a book by Terry Goodkind; Magician, a book by Raymond E. Feist; a new watch, Return of the Champions, some new shorts, a little gnome statue, a Bad Company Anthology CD, some money, and a bass guitar. Isaac (not my brother) gave me his old amp, too. So, it was pretty awesome. I'm picking up the bass pretty easily, and having a fun time of it. The majority of the night, however, was pizza, cake, and Halo.
I also saw V for Vendetta over the weekend. It was awesome. Everybody should see it.
Other than that, I'm back at VU for the weekend. It's my last weekend here until graduation, though, so I'm not too distressed over it. I only have four weeks of class left, which is good. The weather's getting nicer, which makes me happy. I've just been in an all-around good mood lately.
Well, I think that's all for now, faithful readers.
| That last entry took it a bit too far...
So, I hope nobody is too angry with me. At least nobody was made an attack on me. I don't like hostility.
If anybody is really mad at me, I'm sorry.
And I want to give you a hug.
I'm just protective of my little Isaac.
Anyway, on to better news. I haven't been up to much lately. Suprised? You shouldn't be. I already had my Spring Break, which wasn't too bad. I worked for most of it. Monday-Friday, 12-5. It wasn't too bad. It was nice to be back at the Custard. I love that place. Unfortunately, I don't love most of my co-workers. Other than work, I pretty much just hung out with a few people. Nothing too exciting.
Anyway, last week in school wasn't too bad. Once again, I did nothing.
I was home for the weekend, though. Hoo-Rah!
Unfortunately, most people were pretty busy. Friday I hung out with Jayson, Isaac, and some person Isaac had with him. Nicole, I think her name was. Anyway, we just kinda say around and watched Joe Zygas's Mav-TV tape, which Isaac got ahold of somehow. It was pretty entertaining. Then we went to Barnes and Noble, I bought a new book, and we came back to my house and kinda just hung out. We tried to go to Justin's, but he's fat and didn't want to get up. He was sick, too. That might have had something to do with it. I saw Alysha, and made her a little care package to keep her entertained. She had her wisdom teeth pulled, and her face morphed into that of a chipmunk.
I spent Saturday with Alysha too, watching movies and trying my best to take care of her. She had a bad reaction to her pain pill, so she couldn't hold anything down. I held her hand and such while she vomited. Heh. Then I cleaned out the bowl. That was fun. I didn't do it the first time, or maybe the second time, but I was all over vomit clean-up duty for the rest of the time. I also colored her a picture with the crappy crayons I put in her care package. I feel bad about how crappy they were... Perhaps I'll do more crayon research before I buy her crayons again.
Anyway, after I left Alysha's, I went home for dinner, and then Isaac and I headed off to see the play... Musical. Whatever. Anyway, it wasn't too bad. Everybody did a good job. The cell phone bickering was pretty annoying. I understand that it messes up the sound system, but people could have a real reason to keep it on. People have reasons to keep a cell phone on.
After that, I went home. Isaac went to Eric's birthday party, and everyone else was either busy or asleep. So, I sat around, eating ice cream and watching 'The Wall'. It was okay... It was pretty trippy, but okay.
Sunday, I didn't do much. I went to Target with my mom and Isaac, and then the three of us went out to O'Charley's for lunch. After that, I saw Alysha one last time, spent some more time with family, and left.
And now I'm back here.
You know what's awesome, though?
QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS ON THURSDAY! I'm so excited about that show. It's going to be HUGE. Capital letters and all. I'm going to drive all the way there.... And rock my heart out... And buy a tour shirt for way more than it's worth... And it's going to be amazing. The only thing that could make it better would be if Mr. Freddie Mercury and Mr. John Deacon would be there. But, Freddie's dead, and John retired... Paul Rodgers will work, though. And that chubby bassist from Blue Oyster Cult, who I think is standing in for John. I'm not sure.
Anyway, yeah. I'll be home on Wednesday. Queen on Thursday. Birthday festivities on Friday. V for Vendetta on Saturday. It should be a fun weekend.
Well, that's it for now. I've written this entry over the course of seven hours, and it's not that long. LoL. I'll probably write a new entry in about a month. Enjoy the first day of spring, faithful readers (if there are any left).
| I made a terrible mistake a few entries ago, and I've decided that I should rectify it. I wrote on my Xanga that my brother smokes pot. I, blinded by anger, failed to use my reason in the manner. My reason was overrun by my desire to get back at my brother for ditching me. If my reason would have prevailed, I would have realized that many people who read my Xanga aren't mature enough to handle such news in a responsible manner.
To those of you who have refused my brother's company since he started smoking pot, you need to grow up. I'm not saying that I'm not upset that Isaac smokes, but I, unlike many, have the decency to see that he's still a good person to be around. The truth is that Isaac isn't that different. There are many who still enjoy my brother's company, and those are truly understanding people. They understand that Isaac, despite being a pot-smoker, still maintains an enjoyable personality.
To be blunt, if anybody is going to disrespect my brother in such a crude and immature manner, then don't waste my time and be friendly to me. Stay away from me as you stay away from him. Reflect on your unreasonable haste, while you're at it.
| Jesus Christ. I just typed up a whole new entry and lost it all.
I HATE THE INTERNET!
Not really.
Anyway, I'll try to fork it all out again.
New entry.
Again.
Fuck!
I did change my Xanga appearance, though. It looks happier.
Anyway, life has been pretty nice to me lately. I'm in the library, which kind of sucks. It's not a pleasant experience anymore. A lot of white-trash has been coming in, which stinks up the entire place. Seriously. It's pretty vile. They're all really loud, too, and they turn the volume on the computers up pretty loud. Savages, I tell you. Brute savages.
Classes are going fairly well. Well, except Oral Interpretation of Literature. I pretty much despise that class. It's storytelling: no more, no less. Simple storytelling. You know what the worst part is?
Guess.
I'm getting a B.
I guess I'm just not that good at storytelling, but I really hate the class so much that I don't care anymore. Despite the fact that I hate B's. Not all B's, just borderline A B's. That's what I have a tendency to get. GAH!
Hrm... What did I write after that the first time?
Dammit.
Well, something new. I got accepted to transfer to Ball State. I might have already posted that, though... And, most people know, anyway. I'm pretty excited. It seems to be a nice school. They have a pretty nice-looking English department, too. And, well, that's a good thing.
Because English is fun, despite what most people think.
You know, I finally read The Great Gatsby, and I think it is one of the most amazing pieces of literature to ever be printed. It's phenomenal! The language is just... Eloquent. The symbolism and commentary on American society are amazing. I really want to just sit down and talk to someone about it, but I seem to lack close friends that care about anything half-way literary, unless it's being made into an action movie, which in most cases ruins the book.
Well, Alysha and I are going to celebrate Valentine's Day this weekend due to the fact that I can't be home on the real Valentine's Day. We're not quite sure what we're going to do, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to get pulled into watching a romantic comedy. *shivers*
Why do I get the feeling that I'm going to get at least one vile comment from a bitter single person due to my brief mentioning of Valentine's Day?
Well, in case that happens, FUCK YOU.
I'm joking. That was harsh.
I do hate bitter single people on Valentine's Day, though. If you hate it so much, go find a lady or gentleman friend. Your life is your's alone; rise up and live it.
If all else fails, maybe they have Valentine's Day rent-a-companion. You like, like prostitution.
I'm checking out the new BW3's this weekend, hopefully. I love that place...
Oh, I know I mentioned my growing beard in my last entry, and I'm sorry to displease, but I'm getting rid of it this weekend. It's too damn itchy. I can't stand it anymore. Maybe I can get a picture first...
Well, that's all I have for you now, faithful readers.
On a final note, Alysha, if you by chance read this, you suck for not liking E.E. Cummings.
